Algerian Food

Lahm Lhalou
A lamb dish served with couscous


  • 2 lb cubed lamb

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tbs oil

  • 2 tbs orange juice

  • 1/3 cup blanched almonds

  • 1 + 1/2 cup pitted prunes

  • 2/3 cup sugar
