Post a Recipe

For this class, post one of your favourite recipes - if you have a photo, you can add that as well. If not, we will show you how to find one to add.

Happy to see that Steve is posting pictures of some very delicious looking culinary creations.

Rasberry Infused, Cream Cheese Tarts.

This is the dessert I made to have after the sandwiches!

Barbeque Pulled Chicken on a Whole Wheat Baguette, with Havarti Jalapeno Cheese.

Hey Hey! I was bored so I decided to post this picture of a dish I made at home.

David's intro

Hi everyone,

My name is David Kerr, and I am one of the people teaching the computer skills course. I have worked at the Surrey Public Library for 5 years now. Earlier in my life, I lived and worked in different parts of Western Canada, including Smithers in northwest BC, and the Yukon. I am married to a Mexican, so I often eat Mexican food -- luckily I enjoy it! I will post a Mexican recipe to this blog soon!

I am looking forward to getting to know you all, and learning from you.

Cheers, David

About Me

Hello, my name is Steven Rubletz. I am 25 years old, and live in Surrey B.C. I have three beautiful children, and of course my beautiful wife. During my life so far I have done a lot of different jobs. Some great, some not so good. I have never done anything in the Hospitality/Food Industry, but know that it is my one true passion. I Love cooking because there is nothing that feels better than to hear good compliments from people after they are done consuming food that you have prepared. I think that cooking good food is something that you have to do from the heart, with passion and care. I also think that everyone, at least once in their life, should experience food that is cooked with passion and love. This is the reason I have chosen to follow my love for cooking, and decided to sign up for the Kla How Eya Culinary Arts program. With the experience that I gain from this course, I hope to further my education and continue on to an apprenticeship at Vancouver Career College. By going to VCC I hope to get my red seal ticket, and eventually own my own restaurant.
My overall goal, by doing all of this, is to be able to leave behind a legacy for my three children.
Thanks.
